Look for These Credentials in Your Roofing Contractor

Training certifications are important for all reliable roofing contractors. These credentials specify that a roofing contractor knows how to correctly install and maintain various products. These certifications also show that roofing contractors are up-to-date on the latest products and installation procedures.

Certifications come from the manufacturer of the products used for roof installation and repairs and increase your contractor’s trust-factor. Roofing technicians learn how each product is made, its lifespan, and how it used to its best advantage.

Sustainability credentials

We are Green Roofer certified for recycling shingles and other materials. This is an important designation for Imperial Roofing and the products we use. Sustainability is necessary for protecting this beautiful and environmentally sensitive area of Florida.

We work towards zero waste. GAF shingles are asphalt and composite materials that can be reused when old shingles are removed. Shingles, insulation and membrane materials can be recycled.

The asphalt from roofs, especially the larger commercial roofs, can be reused for for building roads. This keeps the material out of landfills. We take the old shingles to recycling centers where nails are removed magnetically and the material is ground into particles to be reused in road and parking lot paving.

Imperial is committed to a no waste policy, and we do not leave debris on the ground of any home or commercial building. Old shingles and other materials to be recycled are placed in separate barrels for easy removal.

Ceramic and concrete tiles for roofs are also sustainable. These products are not toxic. Old, broken tiles can be ground down and the particles reused for other tile and concrete products.

At Imperial Roofing, we are proud of our credentials and our commitment to sustainability. Our company has served the Tampa Bay area since 1968. We continue to stay informed on the latest innovations and certifications for roofing and waste management. Contact us today for emergency repairs and roof replacement.
